Service calls & troubleshooting

A clear next step.
Less guesswork.

An outlet stops working. A breaker keeps tripping. The lights behave differently. Start by telling us what you have noticed.

THOUGHTFUL WORK. USEFUL IMPROVEMENTS.

Find the problem

The symptom you see is the starting point, not always the whole problem. Guardian handles electrical service calls for homes and businesses, with an initial conversation about what is affected and an on-site evaluation where needed. The aim is to understand the issue before deciding what work it requires.

A few observations can make that first conversation more useful: when the issue started, which rooms or devices are affected, and whether something changed recently. Report what you already know. Do not recreate the problem, remove electrical covers, or touch exposed wiring to investigate it for us.

How we can help.

  • Circuit breakers that repeatedly trip
  • Outlets or switches that no longer work
  • Flickering or intermittent lighting
  • Power problems affecting part of a property
  • Electrical concerns after a renovation
  • Evaluation before repair recommendations

A helpful head start.

Describe the symptom, the affected area, and when it began. For smoke, fire, or immediate danger, get to safety and call 911; the website form is for routine requests.

A few helpful answers.

Can you diagnose the issue from a description?

A description can help plan the next step, but different faults can produce similar symptoms. An on-site evaluation may be needed before the cause and repair scope are known.

What if the issue happens only occasionally?

Tell us when you have noticed it and what was already in use at the time. Do not try to trigger the issue again or take equipment apart to collect information.

Should I keep resetting a breaker that trips?

Repeated tripping is a reason to have the issue evaluated. Do not keep resetting it to make the problem happen for a photo or demonstration.

Is this an emergency service?

Call to discuss current availability. The form is not an emergency dispatch service, and same-day or 24-hour service is not promised. For smoke, fire, or immediate danger, get to safety and call 911.
