Define what the service visit includes
Depending on the equipment and agreed scope, work may include inspections, battery testing or replacement, oil and filter service, spark plugs, electrical connections and operational checks. We identify due maintenance separately from repairs discovered during the visit. Tell us about prolonged outage use, missed maintenance or an approaching project deadline when requesting service.
When the generator is not working normally
A unit that will not start, starts and stops, displays an alarm or runs without transferring power needs a description of the symptoms. Note the alarm text and what happened before the issue began, without opening electrical compartments or bypassing protection. Generator diagnostics and transfer-switch troubleshooting may involve different parts of the system; the model information helps us plan the visit.
Service planning for homes and businesses
Keep equipment accessible and share gate, property-manager or occupied-business requirements in advance. If equipment supports a business function, explain the consequence of a shutdown and any acceptable test window. We discuss inspection and testing arrangements with you. Routine maintenance improves readiness but does not promise uninterrupted operation or eliminate the possibility of a fault.

Do you work on Generac generators?
Guardian’s generator service scope includes Generac systems. Share the exact model and issue so we can confirm the work. Manufacturer warranty repairs or work requiring a specific authorization must be confirmed separately.
Is repair included in a maintenance visit?
Maintenance and repair are different scopes. Your proposal should identify the scheduled work, included items and how additional findings will be handled.
Should I wait until a storm is approaching?
Send maintenance requests ahead of the time you expect to rely on the equipment. Availability, parts and any repairs must be confirmed; a request does not guarantee immediate attendance.
