Coordinate readers, controllers, door hardware and power around the way people must enter—and safely leave—your building.

Define the equipment and connections
Review the selected devices, controls, power requirements and communication connections. Confirm the functions needed before choosing wiring.
Plan routes and device locations
Lay out cable routes, terminations and mounting locations around access and equipment instructions. Identify network, mechanical or other trade dependencies.
Confirm scope, permits and scheduling
We identify permit and inspection requirements for the property jurisdiction. Utility coordination is included when the work affects its equipment or supply. You receive the proposed scope before approving the work.
Complete the work and check operation
We complete the agreed electrical work, test the relevant installation and explain operation, findings and any follow-up. Required official inspections are a separate part of completion.
An access-control installation can include a controller, reader, door position sensor, request-to-exit device, lock hardware and power supply. Components must work together, and the door itself must be suitable. We review the equipment and intended access rules with the authorized property representative before specifying wiring.
Controlled entry and safe exit are different requirements. Locking hardware, power-loss behavior and any required interface with the fire or life-safety system need project-specific review. Do not assume that adding a reader permits changing how an exit door releases. Door hardware, approvals and fire-system responsibilities must be coordinated.
Controllers may need network connections and backup-power provisions. The design should explain which functions remain available during power or network loss. Accounts, credentials and administrator ownership belong to the authorized customer. Subscription and remote-management features depend on the selected platform.
A retrofit needs door-by-door scheduling, temporary access arrangements and testing of the agreed functions. Cable routes, door construction, hardware changes and interfaces affect the price. Provide door photos, the equipment platform and a description of who uses each entrance. We confirm the system scope and coordinate specialist approvals before work begins.
Share its make, model and documentation. Proprietary interfaces and existing configurations must be reviewed before compatibility or programming is promised.
No. Access control governs entry; an alarm has detection and notification functions. A project may include interfaces, but each system needs its own agreed responsibility.
Sometimes, after the cable type, condition, route and new system requirements are checked. Readers, lock hardware, controllers and power supplies must be considered together. Share the system drawings and equipment information rather than assuming matching wire colors or connectors establish compatibility.
The proposal must identify the responsible system provider and the agreed installation, programming and acceptance work. Guardian coordinates its electrical scope around the approved entry and exit functions. User credentials, software administration and ongoing monitoring are not automatically included with wiring.
Guardian offers free quotes for planned projects. A fault-finding visit or service call can involve a diagnostic charge, explained before booking. Access, equipment requirements and the work identified determine the proposed repair or installation scope.
Share the property address, the problem or project you have in mind, and equipment details when available. Photos of accessible equipment and the work area can help us plan the next step. Do not remove electrical covers or expose wiring to take photographs.
