A kitchen or bathroom remodel changes how the room works, not just how it looks. Guardian plans and installs the electrical work for renovated rooms, from a few moved devices to a complete change of layout.

Review the plans and intended use
Walk through the construction or renovation scope, equipment loads and desired outlet, switch and lighting locations.
Coordinate rough-in and finish work
Plan wiring routes and project stages around framing, other trades and access. Define what is included in electrical work and any separate finish repairs.
Confirm scope, permits and scheduling
We identify permit and inspection requirements for the property jurisdiction. Utility coordination is included when the work affects its equipment or supply. You receive the proposed scope before approving the work.
Complete the work and check operation
We complete the agreed electrical work, test the relevant installation and explain operation, findings and any follow-up. Required official inspections are a separate part of completion.
For a kitchen lighting remodel, send the cabinet layout, intended work areas, chosen lights and proposed controls. Recessed lighting, island pendants and under-cabinet lighting have different mounting and wiring requirements. Share the construction sequence before finished surfaces limit access.
Bring the current cabinet or room plan, appliance models and fixture selections. A relocated island, new range, vanity lighting or an added bathroom can change the wiring needed. Tell us which items are staying, which will move and which are entirely new so the estimate follows the actual renovation.
A kitchen electrical upgrade can include appliance circuits, countertop and island power, pendant lights and under-cabinet lighting. Bathroom fixture wiring can include vanity lights, illuminated mirrors and the electrical connection for an exhaust fan, coordinated with switches and receptacles. The selected products and existing installation determine the appropriate scope.
Cabinet placement, tile, mirrors and backsplash heights affect where devices and fixtures belong. Discuss the electrical layout with your remodeler before walls are closed or final surfaces are installed. Share revised drawings when a selection changes; a different appliance or fixture can affect a previously planned connection.
For an occupied home, identify the rooms that must remain usable and discuss planned interruptions to power. If only part of the room is being opened, access to the existing wiring and the agreed responsibility for wall repairs should be included in planning.
The number of new locations, appliance requirements, wiring route, access behind finishes and condition of the existing circuits affect the work. A remodel does not automatically require a service upgrade; Guardian reviews the proposed equipment and existing supply before recommending additional electrical work.
Send the construction stage, requested rough-in date and contractor contact with your plans. Finish installation depends on fixtures, cabinetry and other work being ready. We confirm the scope and timing around those stages rather than treating the entire remodel as one service visit.
Kitchen lighting should support food preparation as well as the overall room. Ceiling lights, island pendants and under-cabinet lighting can be controlled separately so one bright setting is not the only option. Outlet positions need to work with countertops, appliances and the final cabinet design; an extension cord across a workspace is not a substitute for planning.
In a bathroom, consider mirror lighting, general light and ventilation separately. A bathroom exhaust fan may use a timer or humidity control, depending on the model and intended operation. Heating elements, bidet seats and other powered accessories can change the circuit needs. Wet-area product suitability and required electrical protection are reviewed for the actual location.
No. New appliance loads and the existing supply must be evaluated. Sometimes the work is limited to suitable new or relocated circuits; other projects need distribution or service changes. The number of empty breaker spaces alone does not settle the question.
Yes. Replacing vanity lighting, moving a switch or adding the electrical connection for a selected fan can be a defined smaller project. Access, the product and the existing wiring determine the work without assuming a full-room rewire.
Confirm the requirements before wiring and locations are fixed. A different range, illuminated mirror or fixture can change the connection or mounting. Share changes before cabinets, tile or wall finishes conceal the affected area.
Ducting, roof or wall penetrations and weatherproofing need named responsibility in the proposal. We coordinate the electrical scope with the ventilation work; connecting power alone does not establish that the exhaust route is suitable.
Guardian offers free quotes for planned projects. A fault-finding visit or service call can involve a diagnostic charge, explained before booking. Access, equipment requirements and the work identified determine the proposed repair or installation scope.
Share the property address, the problem or project you have in mind, and equipment details when available. Photos of accessible equipment and the work area can help us plan the next step. Do not remove electrical covers or expose wiring to take photographs.
