Make lighting and everyday controls easier to use with a system planned around your wiring, devices and the people who live there.

Define the equipment and connections
Review the selected devices, controls, power requirements and communication connections. Confirm the functions needed before choosing wiring.
Plan routes and device locations
Lay out cable routes, terminations and mounting locations around access and equipment instructions. Identify network, mechanical or other trade dependencies.
Confirm scope, permits and scheduling
We identify permit and inspection requirements for the property jurisdiction. Utility coordination is included when the work affects its equipment or supply. You receive the proposed scope before approving the work.
Complete the work and check operation
We complete the agreed electrical work, test the relevant installation and explain operation, findings and any follow-up. Required official inspections are a separate part of completion.
For smart thermostat wiring, smart switches or other smart home electrical wiring, provide the exact control and connected-equipment models. Compatibility, supply and responsibility for setup need review before installation is confirmed.
Thermostat electrical/control connections, HVAC equipment service, internet access, accounts and app configuration are different tasks. Guardian discusses the requested wiring scope and any coordination with the equipment provider rather than promising support for every proprietary system.
Do you want scheduled porch lights, one-touch room scenes, remote control or a coordinated lighting system? A smart bulb, smart switch and central automation system solve different problems. We discuss how the controls should behave locally and remotely before choosing equipment. You should still understand how to operate essential lights when an app is unavailable.
Device requirements can include a suitable neutral, compatible loads, adequate box space and a particular multi-location control arrangement. Not every LED fixture works well with every dimmer, and a conventional three-way switch cannot always be paired with a smart control. We inspect the affected installation and follow the equipment instructions.
Doorbell installation can involve a conventional chime or a video doorbell with app access. Share the chosen model and tell us whether a doorbell is already installed. Guardian checks the existing wiring, power source and chime compatibility before recommending what can stay. A new video doorbell may need a different transformer or chime arrangement; battery-powered and wired models also have different setup needs. We explain the installation and owner account setup included in the proposal.
Wi-Fi, hubs and wired networks serve different roles. A connected device may depend on internet access or a vendor service for certain features. Explain the platforms you already use and whether you want voice, app or physical control. Wired data connections can support equipment locations, but additional cabling does not automatically fix an internet-provider or platform issue.
The agreed setup should establish device names, normal controls and how you receive ownership of the system. Accounts belong to the customer; ongoing subscriptions and manufacturer support should be understood before selection. We define programming, testing and future support in the proposal rather than assuming every proprietary platform is included.
The wiring, load and selected device determine the options. An assessment can identify compatible changes or required wiring work.
Scheduling and occupancy control can reduce unnecessary use, but savings depend on equipment, behavior and operating time. We do not promise a fixed reduction.
Some models require a neutral at the control location and others use a different approved arrangement. The connected load and existing wiring also affect compatibility. Share the exact product before purchase so Guardian can assess suitable controls and any required wiring changes.
The proposal identifies electrical installation, device setup and any separate network or account work. Cloud features can depend on the product provider and available internet service. Share the chosen system and desired functions so ongoing subscriptions or specialist configuration are not assumed to be part of wiring.
Guardian offers free quotes for planned projects. A fault-finding visit or service call can involve a diagnostic charge, explained before booking. Access, equipment requirements and the work identified determine the proposed repair or installation scope.
Share the property address, the problem or project you have in mind, and equipment details when available. Photos of accessible equipment and the work area can help us plan the next step. Do not remove electrical covers or expose wiring to take photographs.
