Guardian installs and replaces ceiling fans in bedrooms, living rooms, porches and business spaces across Myrtle Beach and nearby communities. We help distinguish a straightforward replacement from a new location that needs support, wiring and controls, so you know what the installation includes.

Review the fan and room
Confirm the fan model, ceiling height, mounting location and desired controls. For ventilation equipment, identify any ductwork or roof work that needs a separate scope.
Check support and electrical supply
Assess the mounting support, wiring and switch arrangement before installing or replacing the fan.
Confirm scope, permits and scheduling
We identify permit and inspection requirements for the property jurisdiction. Utility coordination is included when the work affects its equipment or supply. You receive the proposed scope before approving the work.
Complete the work and check operation
We complete the agreed electrical work, test the relevant installation and explain operation, findings and any follow-up. Required official inspections are a separate part of completion.
A ceiling fan is a moving load. Its mounting must support the fan and the forces created as it runs, so an ordinary light-fixture box is not automatically suitable. Guardian checks the mounting arrangement against the selected fan’s instructions and includes a fan-rated support or suitable structural attachment when the installation requires it.
A new location also needs a wiring route and a control plan. For a replacement, we assess what can safely remain: existing support, wiring, wall controls and accessories may not be compatible with the new model. This review matters even when the new fan appears similar in size.
An indoor fan belongs in a dry indoor space. A damp-rated fan is intended for humid locations without direct water exposure; a wet-rated fan is designed for locations exposed to water when installed as specified. A covered porch can still expose a fan to humidity or wind-driven rain, so appearance and a roof overhead are not enough to choose its rating.
Blade span, ceiling height and the shape of the room affect the selection. A low-profile model, downrod-mounted fan and sloped-ceiling installation need different mounting options. We review clearance and the manufacturer’s compatible downrods or adapters rather than assuming one accessory fits every fan.
A wall switch can turn power on and off; a compatible fan control or the supplied remote handles the speeds supported by that model. An ordinary lighting dimmer should not be used as a fan-speed control. Fans with electronic controls may need their own receiver or controller, even if an older fan used a familiar wall control.
After installation, Guardian checks the available speeds, light operation and agreed wall or remote controls, and looks for abnormal movement or noise. If your existing fan has stopped working, tell us whether the motor, light or both are affected so the visit can begin with troubleshooting when appropriate.
The number of fans, ceiling height, access equipment, existing support, new wiring and control changes all affect the estimate. Attic access and finished surfaces matter when a new route is needed. For a rental, condo or commercial room, identify who approves the work and any access window. We confirm preparation and scope before scheduling.
Yes. Send the product link before the visit, along with any downrod, remote or wall-control accessories. Reviewing the complete selection helps avoid an installation delayed by missing or incompatible parts.
We can assess that change. The ceiling support, wiring, mounting position and chosen fan must be suitable; an existing light outlet is not proof that the location is ready for a fan.
Send the quantity, models and rooms together. Flag differences such as a high ceiling or outdoor location so each installation is included in the agreed scope.
Yes. Mounting, assembly, blades and equipment condition can all affect operation. Stop using a fan with significant movement or signs of damage and arrange an assessment; tightening a visible part is not a substitute for checking the support and the fan.
Guardian offers free quotes for planned projects. A fault-finding visit or service call can involve a diagnostic charge, explained before booking. Access, equipment requirements and the work identified determine the proposed repair or installation scope.
Share the property address, the problem or project you have in mind, and equipment details when available. Photos of accessible equipment and the work area can help us plan the next step. Do not remove electrical covers or expose wiring to take photographs.
